A Burlington resident since 1956 Tom is a graduate of Oak Ridge Military Institute, the University of South Carolina, and Leadership Alamance Sponsored by the Alamance County Area of Commerce. A licensed Real Estate Broker since 1972, Tom is experienced in the sale of homes, brokerage of farm and development of land, and leasing-marketing of commercial-industrial real estate.

Tom is past president of the Burlington Alamance Board of Realtors, Realtors Commercial Alliance, Burlington Alamance Multiple Listing Service, Realtor of the Year in 1996.

A Burlington native, Spencer is a graduate of Western Carolina University. Spencer was a member of the PGA golf professionals training program and served as assistant golf professional at Highlands Country Club prior to obtaining his real estate sales license. He has been associated with Coldwell Banker Kasey and Associates in Asheville and represents the third generation at Pate Real Estate, which had its beginning in 1956 when his grandfather R.L. "Bob" Pate (1921-2002) began his real estate career. Joining his father, Tom Pate, a tradition of integrity continues by providing professional real estate brokerage services in Alamance County and surrounding areas.
